I hope that you all had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. Although for moms, it seems that the weekends are even more tiring.
Something crossed my mind last night, I mean it has been on mind all week, our daily lives as mothers, women, daughters. We really are so intricate and different from men aren’t we? I honestly feel like society today has really twisted and distorted the view of what a marriage and dating should be like and what it means to be a truly Godly woman.

All of us have lived through the tiredness from work, the overwhelming needs of our children, the needs of our husbands, and even then our duties to be a good daughter to our earthly parents, a good friend, and even more importantly a devoted daughter of God. How do we balance it all and achieve all that we want too?

I was reminded this past week in my bible study that we will always have unfulfilled longings this side of heaven.

Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

Romans 8:23

Some of us might feel like that sounds a little disappointing but if you think about it, it really is a reminder that nothing and no one really can ever fulfill all the longings of our heart except for God. So the sooner we put together and prioritize what is important in our daily lives we shall be less tired, less disappointed, and instead be more and more aware of what really is important. Our burdens will become lighter and more joy will reside in our hearts.

I pray that in the coming week, we start each day reminded of His plans and not ours, His longings and not ours! I hope that we all will find the balance in our lives that we all long for.
